Key Areas Of Accountability:
Program implementation/management
· Provide psychosocial support for the community (mental Health education, Screening, Counseling, diagnosis and refer)
· Provide emergency psychosocial therapy to cases at working site.
· Provide onsite psychosocial training for health workers and community volunteers
· provide psychological counselling, psychologist interventions, support and engagement to individuals and to facilitate/lead group therapeutic activities.
· Conduct psychological assessments, manage casework, and make referrals as necessary
· Record and document relevant activities (e.g. case notes/files)
· work with the MHNT team members to deliver the service and contribute for good team spirit
· Work with, and support colleagues especially with social workers and case management officers.
· Network, liaise and communicate with assigned Health Facilities Health workers.
· Support and provide appropriate recommendation regarding best interest determination (BID) panel to guarantee best interest of the children.
· Advocate for legal and medical and other referral support services for beneficiaries.
· In collaboration with the project team and stakeholders prepare detail annual and quarters action plan and ensure the implementation.
· Closely work with project staffs and stakeholders in the course of project planning and implementation.
· Facilitate and ensure the involvement of children as primary stakeholders in all project work.
· Ensure preparation of timely and weekly, quality quarterly and annual project progress reports.
· Strictly respect the confidentiality of data, being the property of the project beneficiaries and SCI
· Ensure beneficiaries files/ data’s are properly put and locked.
· Respect the confidentiality regarding the content of interview during assessments.
· Produce timely progress reports, including both quantitative and qualitative information, on CP activities and input into regular situation reports.
· Identify and build links with other partners, ensuring that issues for mental health and psycho social support are raised and addressed.
· Comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to Child Protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies
· Responsible for the overall project implementation.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
· Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or other related fields.
· Fluency in written and spoken local language and English.
Experience and Skills
· 4 years of Experience working directly in training, facilitation, mental & Psychological First Aid (PFA and capacity building in MHPSS
· Experience in providing trainings on MHPSS interventions including Psychological First Aid (PFA), Basic psychosocial skills, Basic helping skill, Safe identification & referral to Mental Health, Wellbeing, and self-care activities, etc
· Thorough understanding of MHPSS programming & interventions
· Experience working in NGOs or in an emergency context
· Thorough understanding of case management and social work
· Experience in Psychological First Aid, Psychosocial Support programming and community mobilization
· Good communication skills with different stakeholders
· Ability to work under pressure
· Experience in coordination with Case Management team
· Dynamic, innovative, and able to take effective and timely decisions

Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepares quarter plan, participates in annual budget development, and ensures that Growth through Nutrition activities are fully harmonized with zonal, and health sector annual plans.
• Coordinates and technically supports zonal, woreda, and local stakeholders to assess needs related to nutrition to enhance the implementation of Growth through Nutrition activities.
• Conduct routine assessment to find the real demands of the woredas affected by the conflict and review the crisis modifier activities accordingly.
• Develops terms of reference and facilitates trainings, meetings, and joint supportive supervision visits that will be conducted at zonal and woreda levels.
• Submits training reports, review-meeting proceedings, and field travel reports to regional offices timely for documentation.
• Ensures multi-sectoral coordination of nutrition interventions at zonal, woreda and community levels.
• Ensure that nutrition guidelines, minimum nutrition standards, quality improvement on nutrition specific services, Health Management Information Systems (HMIS), and monitoring tools are implemented in National Nutrition Program target zones and woredas.
• Provides technical support through regular and joint supportive supervision visits to Woreda Health, health facilities, and communities.
• Ensures the nutrition agenda is highlighted during regular zonal and woreda level review meetings.
• In collaboration with MEAL manager, strengthens the capacity of Zonal/Woreda Health Offices and community in nutrition and HMIS.
• Supports the Zonal Health Department in mentoring and follow-up of project trained health workers (HWs) and community members in implementing planned nutrition and WASH activities at all levels (zone, facility, and community).
• Ensures Growth through Nutrition selected HWs are trained as per the national guideline.
• Ensures the provision of appropriate mentoring and on-job training for HWs at targeted health facilities using project tools.
• Support health facilities ensure sustained supplies of nutrition commodities
• Ensures that resources allocated reach the right beneficiaries, for the right objective, and in a timely manner.
• Ensure the distribution materials that purchased for the crisis modifier at woreda as well as at the health facility level.
• Ensures that all donor compliance and Save the Children rules and regulations are strictly followed during day-to-day program operations.
• Collaborate with partners who are working on nutrition government sectors to ensure planning and implementation of Growth through Nutrition convergence and layering activities.
• Ensures Growth through Nutrition activities are included in woreda annual implementation plans.
• Implements gender-sensitive activities related to nutrition at zonal, woreda, and kebele level.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports, document and share lessons, challenges and best practices regularly
• Performs other related tasks as required.

• Essential
• Minimum of first degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or Nursing and health/nutrition related fields of study
• At least six years of experience in implementing Health, Nutrition and/or related programs in Ethiopia.
· Excellent and demonstrated computer skills Microsoft office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Competency in spoken and written English language
• Speak/understand local (regional) language

Desired
• Experience/knowledge of supporting USAID funded grants with good understanding of Health Sector Transformation Plan (HSTP), National Nutrition program (NNP) and other health and nutrition related policies & strategies.
• Significant training experience (e.g. MIYCN, updated CMAM, QI, BINLM, Coaching and mentoring, and WASH related etc.) with community mobilization in support of Health and WASH related programs. Experience in conducting trainings, training of trainers, and organizational capacity building is an Asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as the proven ability to work collaboratively with many organizations and stakeholders. Experience working with private sector, government agencies and beneficiaries on livelihoods programs.
• Knowledge and learning ability to integrate gender issues in nutrition focused interventions
· Demonstrated skills in partnership building and interpersonal communication.
· Experience in NGO setup
· Excellent in report writing skills
· Experience working in the region and understanding of local context
TRAVEL
· 60-65 percent
