Background
Implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Special Initiative Jobs (SI Jobs) program of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusam- menarbeit GmbH (GIZ) is promoting job-creating growth in selected sectors in Ethiopia. SI Jobs targets private sector development for economic clusters in selected geographical areas and promotes sustainable investments that lead to more employment.
The sequa gGmbH implements the SME Grant Scheme in Ethiopia on behalf of the GIZ SI Jobs Scheme. The SME Grants Scheme targets SMEs, mainly in the textile/ garment sector. The overall objective of the SI Job is to increase innovation and productivity in selected SMEs in the textile/ garment industry in Ethiopia in a way that creates jobs. The growth of the private sector plays a crucial role in the overall growth of a nation.

Photographer /editor/ graphic designer
Sequa is seeking the service of an experienced and motivated expert to work with 3 SMEs. The Fashion SMEs produce different products, check reference links on companies. The applicable impact indicator is that each SME should create 20 jobs during the time of implementation, in addition, the SME is stable on its growth paths for the future. The scope will be widened to 8 SMEs.

Subject and Tasks
As a Photographer, the expert is expected to
• Generate images from photoshoots that are in line with the EFC creative direction
• Direct talent on location and work collaboratively with other team members
• Create briefs for photoshoots
• Manage workload to meet deadlines
• Collaborate with in-house team members to create content that propels the brand forward

As a Graphic Designer, the expert is expected to
• Oversee post-production retouching process
• Perform color correction, compositing, masking, sharpening, resizing, edit in multiple color profiles
• Prepare, name and file all images according to production processes
• Collaborate with Brand Directors and Videographers to create photoshoots that are in line with the EFC aesthetic
• Add graphics for Campaigns, Website banners and social media posts. 
• To curate a strong gallery of aspirational images and video content which will be used to reflect the brand in marketing and press.
• Play a key role in assisting to shape the visual storyline of content touchpoints while assisting to maintain the brands digital asset library.
• Use various media including graphics, animations, data visualization, music and voice overs to create professional grade content.
• Secure and archive permissions for use of photo images for individuals
• To be up to date on video and photography trends to ensure we are at the forefront of content.

Duration and Schedule of the Assignment
• The expert will be working with the Ethiopian Fashion Community member companies on a permanent base and s/he will coordinate with the existing Sequa team in Ethiopia and Germany.

Job Requirements
Searched qualifications of the expert
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in photography and graphic design and editing
• Strong knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite - primarily
• Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator or equivalent software
• A solid understanding of the fashion industry’s current visual trends and the ability to create imagery and editing in line with that

Subject and Tasks
The expert is expected to do the following: -
• Run advertising campaigns on Google (Search, Display, and Shopping), Bing, and Facebook
• Monitor budget and develop bid strategies for continuous improvement of ROI
• Create effective paid search, display, retargeting, shopping and other PPC strategies
• Track KPIs to assess performance and pinpoint issues
• Launch and optimize multiple well-structured PPC campaigns
• Keywords selection and audience targeting
• Negative keywords management
• Collaborate with other media team members (media editors, content writers, frontend designers, etc.) to generate data-driven optimized landing pages
• Produce reports for management (e.g., dashboards)
• Suggest and develop new campaigns across multiple channels
• Maintain partnerships with PPC ad platforms and vendors
• Find ways to reduce the risk of click fraud

• The expert will be working with the Ethiopian Fashion Community member companies on a permanent base and s/he will coordinate with the existing Sequa team in Ethiopia and Germany.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
• 1+ year experience in advertising campaigns on Google (Search, Display, and Shopping), Bing and Facebook
• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English
• Experience in both: B2B and B2C projects
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics
• Experience in launching campaigns in challenging and highly competitive niches
• Experience in data analysis and reporting

About Self Help Africa and the Project:
• Self Help Africa (SHA) is an international non-profit development organization dedicated to the vision of an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa. SHA-Ethiopia is now seeking to recruit Financial inclusion /Business development Service Officer who will provide guidance and other technical support on the R4 project implemented in Amhara region financed by WFP.

Job Purpose:
• The position holder will be responsible for providing technical assistance for the development of planning, monitoring and evaluation systems for the R4 project and ensure the effective operation of a monitoring and evaluation system at the respective field programmes. She/he has an individual responsibility to support the preparation of project annual work plan (AWP), project development, support the process of planning, monitoring and evaluation. Manage the performance measurement framework, data flow chart of project activities, Risk matrix updating and reporting; supervise implementation of data collection process by communicating to the project manager, the field staffs and the implementing partners. Moreover, the incumbent with close technical back-up from the M&E Advisor will contribute to donors’ compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide quality M&E technical assistance to the R4 project and implementing partners.
• Ensure that SHA's project planning, monitoring and evaluation processes meet the sector standards and comply with external accountability requirements.
• Manage SHA project’s PMF, dataflow chart, data collection process and data entry into the database system.
• Provide support to field project officers and implementing partners on data collection, data entry and reporting.
• Assist with the development of annual work plan (AWP), performance management frameworks, and logic models and track the project’s operation accordingly.
• Maintain and update the Risk matrix.
• S/he will assist the program team to undertake program/projects monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the R4 Project will perform as planned and that the desired impact will be realized.
• Assist with the documentation and dissemination of findings, best practices and lessons learnt and provide feedback to SHA’s project staff and implementing partners.
• S/he will assist in the preparation of quarterly, bi-annual, annual and interim status reports as required and compile and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for different stakeholders.
• Assist in timely and accurate documentation, publication and dissemination of the business development and financial literacy activities. This includes success stories, lessons learned, etc.
• Perform other duties given by her/his supervisor

Essential:

• BA/BSc or equivalent degree in Economics, development study, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, or related fields;
• 3-5 years substantial experience in managing database, data collection, data entry and analysis.
• At least 5 years of experience with M&E methods and approaches, including designing, planning, and implementing M&E systems, analyzing and reporting using a logical framework and other strategic planning approaches;
• Experience with climate change and/or resilience programmes is desirable
• Strong interpersonal and management skills required;
• Ability to work in short deadlines and intense work environment; Strong team building and motivational skills/Team oriented
• Excellent and proven computer skills, Statistical data analysis and database management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and project reporting skills is a must;
• Ability to develop well written, cohesive analyses and reports quickly and efficiently;
• Strong analytical, program management, and financial analysis skills;
