Essential Functions
• Participate in development of product related strategies, action plans, and procedure;
• Conduct new product development and assessments of modifying of existing;
• Conduct periodical assessments on Amhara Bank’s products and services level of success in addressing needs of customers;
• Perform feasibility and sustainability studies for existing and new products;
• Conduct market and need assessment to identify potential areas for the development of new financial products, and revisiting existing products;
• Coordinate and follow up new product pilot tests;
• Conduct market and need assessment to identify potential areas for the development of new financial products, and revisiting existing products;
• Conduct the market and trends of alternative channels usage to understand customer preference that help the Bank to improve its services;

Qualifications
• BA in Economics, Management and Business Administration or related field,
Experience
• 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry of which 2 years as Product Development Officer or related.

• EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by all banks (private and public) operating in Ethiopia, the National Bank of Ethiopia and some MFIs. EthSwitch has been established mainly to Create Interoperability between financial and payment service providers, develop & Institute Domestic PaymentScheme, and provide Shared Infrastructure/Platforms to Financial Institutes. The mission of the Company is ’’Making Payments Simple and Affordable’’, and its Vision is ‘’To be best in class Payment Network inAfrica by 2035’’.
• The Senior Product Development and Management Officer participates in product development projects. S/he evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, designs optimization, and production issues. S/he works with other departments to establish a design, technology, product development and management practices.

• BA/MBA/MA degree in Marketing Management or related fields of study
• 4/2 years of relevant work experience
• Competence in MS Office and Emotional Intelligence

S/he plan ways to promote – and change the public perception of – brands. S/he is also responsible for making sure that branding is consistent across advertising and campaigns of the company. S/he works to create and enhance brand equity.
