Description of the Vacancy
Common Vision for Development Association (CVDA) is a partner with Mekdim Ethiopia National Association (MENA) and Mary Joy in Addis Ababa Administration, Sidam region and SNNPR respectively to implement the USAID Family focused USAID Family Focused HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Services in Addis Ababa , Sidam region and SNNPR.

The main purpose is to strengthen local HIV epidemic control to achieve 95 percent of individuals living with HIV know their status, 95 percent of persons living with HIV to initiate antiretroviral therapy and 95 percent of antiretroviral therapy clients achieve viral load suppression by 2020/21. HIV mitigation services for vulnerable children will focus on case discovery and linkage to HIV treatment among undiagnosed children living with HIV, on achieving better health outcomes through HIV viral load suppression and establishing interpersonal, family and community norms to achieve HIV and violence prevention (9 to 14-year-old children).

Job Summary
Casher and procurement expert is responsible for petty cash handling, make payment at field level and cash transfer for projects for the payment document approved and checked by responsible person. S/he also verifies all source documents for proper approval and availability. Conduct procurement as per the specification.

Responsibilities And Tasks:
• Pay withholding and income tax monthly and timely for the custom and revenue authority.
• Transfer project implementation budget for staff reviewing the availability and approval of all source documents by responsible person as per approved document.
• Receives cash and checks on a pre numbered Cash Receipt Voucher of the organization, deposits collected money in the bank intact and submits the Receipt/Invoice and bank deposit slip to accounts;
• Maintains a petty cash and makes disbursement against written orders or authorizations;
• Confirms that petty cash payment voucher and supporting documents are complete before effecting payments;
• Follows-up the settlement of temporary advance payments effected with "Suspense Vouchers” and report to the Supervisor if there are unsettled suspense vouchers;
• Effects payment of payroll to CVDA employees;
• Obtains receipts and reconciles cash balance with records, clears all advances taken by staff and updates all records on file;
• Requests for the replenishment of the petty cash when it reaches the minimum limit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
• Qualifications (Know How)
• BA/diploma in Accounting or Finance related fields 2/4 years of experience.

Technical Skills
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner;
• Good skills in computer applications;
• Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, participatory approach and sustainable development.

Competencies
