JOB DETAILS:
Job overview and Description
• Evaluate the financial performance of the PLC
• Monitor bank deposits and payments
• Ensure compliance with government payroll taxes, pension and other payments, related laws and regulations, as well as the PLC’s policies and legal accounting procedures
• Handle accounts payables, verifying payment documents, referencing outstanding bills, updating debt balances and conducting disbursements
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the PLC’s operations
• Prepare monthly bank and cash reconciliations to identify possible errors in transactions and identify potentially fraudulent activities to safe guard the PLC against losses
• Assist with the documentation and monitoring of internal control
• Prepare financial plan i.e. revenue projection and expenditure forecasting
• Closely follow-up that all revenues are collected and all disbursements effected timely
• Make sure that all accounting and supporting documents and properly classified and filed
• Follow-up on petty cash movements and prepare cheque for replenishment
• Ensure transfer of relevant taxes and pension payments to the concerned authorities
• Ensure that payroll preparation is timely, completed and payments effected
• BS/MA degree in Finance and Accounting
• Proven 5 years experience
• Proficient user of finance software
• Excellent written and spoken English essential.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and efficiently handle multiple tasks
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulation
